Michelle Postles
Michelle has been a student and performer of dance for over 25 years with training in ballet, modern, and vintage jazz dance forms. Her diverse dance background led her to discover classic Swing dance in 1998. Since then she has studied under several swing dance legends and master instructors. Michelle's performance and choreography experience includes local dance ensembles with the Atlanta Jazz Dance Preservation Society , Rome Civic Ballet, and Down South Swing Company performance group. Since 2002, she has competed both regionally and nationally and was a 2007 American Lindy Hop Championships finalist.
Michelle teaches regularly in the Atlanta Swing Dance community. She specializes in Swing, Box Step, Charleston, and Vintage Jazz styles. Her hope is to share the joy of partner dancing with as many brides and grooms as possible.
Erica DeBlasio
Erica DeBlasio has an extensive dance background and is classically trained in ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance forms. In 1999, she discovered her true passion for partner dance in a small Swing class in Santa Fe, New Mexico. By 2000, Erica took ownership of High Altitude Swing and continued her work as lead instructor, choreographer and performer. Since relocating to Atlanta in 2005, she continues to teach regular classes, choreograph, perform and compete at regional and national events.
Erica has traveled throughout the US and Europe to study under many world renowned dance instructors. Although her specialty is classic Swing dance, she
also teaches Balboa, Charleston, Salsa, Merengue and Ballroom dances.
